Challenge
First notice of loss is the most expensive moment in a motor insurer's operation, and it still runs on the phone.
Still on the phone
85 to 95% of claims are still reported through a call center, at 6 to 7 minutes and US$6 to 8 a call.
Data typed twice
Manual re-keying at intake feeds 5 to 10% claims leakage.
Trust at stake
Intake carries about 26% of the auto claims satisfaction index (J.D. Power), and up to 41% of claimants consider switching insurer within 12 months (Accenture).
Key actions
An opportunity framed by the numbers
Market research on call-center cost, claims leakage and churn set the goal: claim intake under 90 seconds, with no phone call and structured data for the insurer.
Six surfaces designed in Claude Design
The policyholder app and the adjuster dashboard designed on Material Design 3 and delivered as clickable HTML rather than static files.
Built with Claude Code and Supabase
Next.js on Vercel, with Postgres and Realtime on Supabase over MCP. Schema, access rules and realtime were created and verified in the same pass as the code, through a GitHub to Vercel deploy loop.
Real time in both directions
A submitted claim reaches the adjuster dashboard in under 2 seconds, and its status returns to the policyholder's phone just as fast, with no install and no login.
A launch film made with AI
Produced through Higgsfield over MCP, with Seedance, ElevenLabs, Nano Banana and GPT Image, and music from Google Flow Music.
v1 scoped against the market
Positioned against Lemonade and Porto Seguro on a maturity chart: a voice agent, AI triage from the call transcript, damage estimation from photos and video, and straight-through processing for low-severity claims.
